Roasted Wheat Kernels

(Use organic ingredients whenever possible).

You will be delighted with this healthy and unique snack. Roasted and “popped,” these wheat kernels are an excellent source of fiber and provide some protein, healthy polyunsaturated fats, phosphorus, magnesium, as well as phytochemicals like lignans.

 ½ tbsp olive, sunflower, grapeseed, or other cooking oil
 ¼ cup Willow Creek Organic Wheat Kernels
  tsp salt

HEAT in skillet

1/2 Tbsp. olive, sunflower, grapeseed, or other cooking oil

ADD

1/4 cup Willow Creek Organic Wheat Kernels

POP like popcorn. They don’t expand as much as popcorn, but they will pop.

SWIRL around in the pan to prevent burning.
